Have you been thinking about trying yoga but not sure where to start? If so, this is the class for you. I put this class together for someone who has never tried yoga. I go over some of the basic yoga postures that you will almost always see in a yoga class. When you are new to yoga, the moves can feel unusual and difficult, and it is hard to focus on the breath. With practice you will get better at the postures and learn how to breathe deep.
It is very important that you listen to your body and take your time getting into the postures. Yoga is a form of exercise, and if you push yourself too far, you can injure yourself. If you listen to your body and stay relaxed, I am sure that you will love the way your body and mind feel after a yoga class, and I hope you get hooked!
Yoga is not just a stretching class it is a science that is designed to work the body and mind from the inside out. Practice this class two or three time a week until you feel familiar with the moves. Part two is coming soon. Enjoy!
